Golden Hour Picnic Proposal | Calgary, AB

When I was approached to help with the design for a picnic proposal, I was all in! To be involved at the beginning of someone's forever is quite the honour. I knew I had to pour all I could into making this the perfect day.

Of course, the groom-to-be asked that it not be "too over the top" so he wouldn't feel awkward - he's more of the laid back type. Which was totally okay for me!

As the design came together, there were small touches that made it personal to the two of them. A champagne bottle with the label saying "will you marry me", to a Polaroid camera filled with film for quick snapped memories of their private moment. It was all about the details for this design. Candles surrounding the blanket, linens blowing in the wind, blankets & pillows for comfort & warmth, white fluffy roses & a beautiful table setting in white & gold.

The best part - she said yes!

We found the perfect secret spot in the SW of Calgary, AB. The golden hour light, and gorgeous mountain backdrop was the most romantic location for this proposal!
