If rain could’ve held off for any couple, this would’ve been the one I chose. However, despite the record falling rain in 2025, Sarah & Andy made the most of it.
We worked tirelessly the week before to replan their ceremony & cocktail hour. What was supposed to happen outside of the River Cafe, pivoted into a private vow ceremony with their wedding parent & parents at a studio space downtown. Amongst the dinner tables later, they held their ceremony at the Cafe indoors. While not the sunny first day of summer they were hoping for, the cozy vibes were immaculate.
It was a lovely day, Jackie Kalch captured the memories & love perfectly. I’m so grateful to Alyssa from Hawthorn Plains for pivoting with me all the plans we had for ceremony & cocktail hour & creating floral magic. Thank you to the staff at the River Cafe for being incredibly accommodating & making sure the couple & their guests had the best night. While a rainy day is often moody, this one was bright & colourful.
